Reintroduce Teams User Pool
There is already some code in the plugin that would enable you to load the
entire team into the user pool. However it’s not currently a safe option.
A future update will reintroduce this with proper safeguards.
Bolt to set users to be able to tag
In order to speed up the process of loading the users to notify in the State Manager, we will try to use the Bolt Server as a way to set users
to the project. This should dramatically speed up the load time for the State Manager.
Open Source Studio Edition
The Studio Edition now open source, allowing for greater customization and community contributions.
Integrate Deadline
Currently publishing to the farm is unsupported. It will need a separate
Python task as part of the job in order to carry out the publishing via
render farm.
Custom Slack Channel Names for Notifications/Publishes
Give you the option to add custom slack channel names. Default option will
still be the name of the project.
User Display Names instead of Real Names
I’ll be adding a feature that will let the user choose their name
according to their name on Slack in the Prism User Settings. This is not
just to help with the user tagging but also to be more inclusive.
Allow for Direct Message User Notifications
Direct messages to individual artists can be chosen as an option in order
to avoid flooding the channel unnecessarily.
Allow for Ephemeral Direct Message User Notifications
Lots of messages could potentially flood the channel unnecessarily to
alert another artist of an incoming update. Ephemeral messages can help to
reduce the impact.
Prism Slack Bot Added to Channels Automatically
Add the slack bot to public channels every time one is created
Approvals Usergroups
Usergroups have been enabled for Approvals but it can be used for other
uses as well.
Approval Buttons with a Versioned Publish
Include some Actionable buttons below a publish to choose the current
status once it’s reviewed. This requires a proper bolt server
implementation so it will take time.
Enable/Disable Tagging Artist
You can now enable/disable taggin the artist that published the content to
Slack. Metadata now gets added to the post that can be used to get the
artist instead.
Metadata on Publishes
Metadata now gets added to published posts to make it easier to parse
through and add additional features.
Artist notification on Exports
Send notifications to artists when publishing exports from the state
manager.
Reorganize Settings
Reorganizing the settings tabs will enable us to continue adding features
without making the window bigger.
Sign-in with Slack
Give the artist the ability to sign into Slack with a button and gather
the necessary information intead of putting the artists name in manually.
Added Nuke to list of compatible software
Added Slack publishing options to the Nuke publishing process.
Execution Graph Nodes
We will add publishing directly from the Execution Graph once we have the
ability to work with it. We only have access to Prism Plus at the moment
so we can’t develop against it yet.
Add After Effects to the list of compatible software
Add Slack publishing options to the After Effects publishing process.
Add Prism Comments Based on Slack Threads
Include the option to include comments in threads on Slack as comments on
Prism versions in the media tab.
Multi-Channel Settings
[We feel like this may not be necessary. Since this was only in
discussions rather than for actual need. If there is actual interest, we
will look into it] There has been some discussion around channels that are
more suited for different departments. This can also reduce the flood of
notifications from larger projects. For example, if you publish things for
reviews it can be sent directly to a channel dedicated to those instead of
flooding the primary channel.
