Sign In with Slack

Client ID and Client Secret

To use the ‘Sign in with Slack’ feature, you must have set up a Slack App and obtained a Client ID and Client Secret. These credentials are necessary for authenticating users via Slack’s OAuth 2.0 protocol.

You can use the ‘Sign in with Slack’ button to automatically gather your Display Name and ID from Slack and store it in your Prism user configuration file.

Sign out from Slack

If you wish to Sign out from Slack, you can click the button next to your name and it will remove your information from the Prism user configuration file and revoke the auth from the Slack App as well.

Manual

Deprecated v2.1.4 You will need to enter your Slack Display Name in the line and press the save button in order to store your information to your Prism user configuration file. Why your Display Name and not your Prism username or your Real Name?

1. Display names are more inclusive to the user
2. Prism usernames are never going to be the same unless you specifically made it the same when working with your artists.
